Getting here from the U.K.

A Note

 

We strongly recommend everyone stays in Winchester during the wedding period, its our beautiful home city with lots to do and amazing transport links to London and the rest of the UK. We will be doing things in the days leading up with our early arrival guests based in Winchester too.

Don't worry! We will be organising transport from Winchester both to Burley Manor on the day of the Wedding as well as back to Winchester in the evening after you've all had a few drinks. No need to get lost in the wood!  

By Car

From the Midlands:

  • Take the M69 until you reach the M40.
  • Follow the M40 all the way until Juntion 9 and take the A34.
  • If you're staying the night, take A34 until you reach Winchester:
     
  • Staying at the Winchester Hotel and Spa: Take the exit towards Worthy Down/Littleton/The Worthys/S. Wonston. Then a quick left onto Worthy Lane - the hotel will be on your left. See their 'find us' page here.
     
  • Staying at the Winchester Royal Hotel: Take the exit towards Winall / Easton Lane. Then follow the one way system up Friarsgate and through the centre of Winchester. The hotel is on St. Peters Street to your right. See their 'find us' page here.
     
  • Remember: we'll be organising transport to and from Winchester!
     
  • If you're only able to join us for the day itself just continue on the A34 as it turns into the M3, all the way until you reach the M27 heading westbound.
  • Stay on that as it turns into the A31, and turn off when you see signs for Burley! The Manor is on your left shortly after entering the village.

By train

From the Midlands:
Take any mainline route into London, then make your way over to Waterloo. Then simply follow the instructions from London below.



From London:
Most Southeastern trains from Waterloo travel through Winchester!
